The Ultimate Reward - Heaven

Abraham's faith, even of old, was predicted on the reality of the ultimate reward: For he was looking forward to the city without foundations, whose architect and builder is God. Hebrews 11:10

This was the hope and aspiration surging in the hearts and minds of God's people before and since! The Apostle Paul spoke of his being caught up into that third heaven and seeing things he could not reveal, but said later, For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain, and expressed the desire to go on to be with Christ, which is far better (Philippians 1:21-23).

The Apostle John, on Patmos, was also enabled to see that wondrous place - and gave us a partial description of a city four-square, whose ground floor was 1500 miles north and south, and the same east and west! Turn to and read again his description of the city in Revelations 21:10-27!

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the order of things has passed away (Revelations 21:4)

Jesus makes it all possible for us, saying, There are many rooms (mansions) in my Father's house; otherwise, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:2-3)

That eternal home caused Paul to write: Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. (2 Corinthians 5:1)

All of our trials, afflictions, sufferings, and disappointments will fade into nothing if in the last day we can hear God say, well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joys of the Lord.

Yes, heaven is the greatest reward set before man!
