As shocking as this sounds, many people have espoused the belief that Jesus Christ and Satan are in fact related. But like all frauds, this teaching is all sizzle.

It's not a new idea. It goes back centuries and it is based on a distortion of the Bible.

Back in the first century when the Lord's church was just getting started, heretics attempted to instruct naive believers that Jesus was no more than an angel. He was a very good angel, and a strong angel, but an angel nevertheless.

The idea took off like a rocket and captured many believers and poisoned the minds of unbelievers. It has held strong even to our day and has been embraced as a foundational doctrine of cults.

How this relates to Jesus and the Devil being brothers is simple. The logic goes like this - if Satan is a fallen angel and if Jesus is a good angel - then they must be brothers.

But t his is m an made logic and it does not square with the revelation in the Bible. Though many cults say they accept the Bible, they are selective about it. They teach scriptures they like, hide the ones they don't like, and twist around everything else.

The Bible's answer to the Jesus is an Angel lie is straightforward. Hebrews 1:1-4 tells it strongly with the most powerful being verses 3 and 4... who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
